Quirky charm in an old prison
The hotel has a fascinating history as a former prison, surrounded by a serene park. Breakfast was delightful, featuring a rich selection of Belgian delicacies. The rooms, while small, are clean and comfortable, offering a unique ambiance.
The location is somewhat isolated, making it challenging to find nearby dining options after dark. there were a few maintenance issues during our stay that detracted from the experience.

Nice quiet environment in a spacious park. Belgian breakfast served with ample seating.
A persistent sewage smell from the bathroom made it uncomfortable at times. The room was cold on arrival, taking ages to warm up, and only one chair was available—poorly equipped for a larger space.

i really wanted to enjoy my stay, yet the sewer smell was so bad it ruined the air. breakfast was good, but the lack of complimentary coffee during the day felt so cheap. also, it woudl've been nice if someone could've noticed my discomfort and offered me a room upgrade. talk about no special treatment at all!

Unique ambiance and amazing breakfast
I had a great experience, especially with the breakfast that featured a variety of fresh pastries, eggs, and pancakes. The room was spacious with high ceilings and a distinct industrial feel, adding to the hotel's unique character. The staff were very helpful in providing suggestions for local attractions. One downside was the lack of an on-site restaurant, so dining options required venturing out for dinner.

The staff was genuinely kind and professional, and the breakfast was excellent , displaying a variety of local delicacies. It was quite fascinating to stay in a historical building, you could feel the stories within the walls, which made it an lovely experience.
It wasn’t inexpensive , but still acceptable for what it offered.
